We have finally moved to the farm ! Mark went to Nature's Harmony Farm in Georgia to buy Sarah, our first Livestock Guardian dog. She is a Great Pyrenees X Anatolian Shephard. We have also ordered our laying hens, along with a few cute Bantam Silkies. We are getting another Great Pyrenees LGD, because Sarah will need help patroling the farm !

What beautiful scenery! You're living my dream life, out in that glorious country on a farm--and raising your own animals, too! *sigh* I'll be living vicariously through you on your blog :)
I grew up in Henry County, VA, not far from this area... My family settled on Buckhorn Creek actually. I recently found out the particular area and stumbled across your blog. If you are interested this article was published in the August 14, 1838 issue of the Randolph Tribune. It relates the re-reading of the Chaney family history by an ancestor of mine. Thank you for letting me see these beautiful photos.
